Jayla Rose Jackson

Jayla is overjoyed to be back on the Rivertown Theatres stage for her dream show, Hairspray! She previously appeared in Mean Girls: High School Edition as part of the ensemble this summer. Jayla is a current level 4 senior at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) studying Musical Theatre. Previous credits include Little Shop of Horrors (Ronnette), Chicago (Ensemble, Morton U/S) at NOCCA, regionally, Oliver! (Ensemble) at Tulane’s Summer Lyric Theatre, and A Christmas Story (Higbees Elf) here at Rivertown! Jayla wants to give a special thank you to the amazing creative team for giving her the opportunity to jump start her senior year with such an important show! Jayla also sends lots of love to the Rivertown cast, crew, and her family for their support in all of her theater opportunities.
